Benefits

Recipients can register for the SETAC Europe Annual Meetings with a reduced member registration fee instead of the regular registration fee.

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must be a full SETAC member with a recent graduate or senior active status

Check your membership status, under My Account > Manage Membership.
  • A free or explorer membership is not valid
  • The membership must be at least active until the last day of the annual meeting
  • To qualify as a recent graduate, members must:
    • have received the primary degree related to the Society's ethos of environmental chemistry and ecotoxicology
    • have been graduated no longer than 3 years ago
  • To qualify as a senior active member, members must:
    • be a member in good standing for three years
    • be at least 62 years of age and retired
  • Candidates must be actively involved in the SETAC Europe annual meeting for example as a session chair, presenter, programme committee member, training course instructor or award judge.

Terms and Conditions

  • Recent graduates can only receive the reduced registration grant for maximum two annual meetings
  • Grants are personal and cannot be given to others
  • Recipients must register before the early bird registration deadline
  • Recipients are expected to adhere to the SETAC Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.

SETAC Europe encourages student participation at the meeting and offers grants to full student members from countries that are administered by SETAC Europe.

SETAC Europe students can apply for a student grant through the application portal. The deadline to apply was 23:59 CET on Wednesday, 30 October

 


Benefits

Grant recipients get a complimentary meeting registration to participate in the upcoming SETAC Europe Annual Meeting.

Eligibility

Candidates must be a full SETAC student member based in Europe, the Middle East or Central Asia. Check your membership status, under My Account > Manage Membership

  • A free or explorer membership is ineligible.
  • The membership must be at least active until the last day of the annual meeting.

Application Information

Applicants must submit the following information no later than Wednesday, 30 October.

  • Summary of reason for application including why grant is required and how attendance fits academic goals and career plans
  • A valid  student proof
  • supporting statement by the applicant’s supervisor (maximum one page)

Selection Process 

All applications will be checked for eligibility and completeness by the SETAC office. Late submitted applications will not be taken into consideration. Maximum two (2) candidates from one institution or department can receive a grant. If we receive more eligible applications than funding available, the recipients will be drawn randomly. 

All applicants will be informed about the outcome by Tuesday, 12 November 2024. Only successful candidates with an accepted abstract will receive an email with instructions on how to receive the registration waiver in early February 2025.

Terms and Conditions

  • Recipients must submit an abstract as presenting author for the SETAC Europe 35th Annual Meeting by 20 November.
  • The grant can only be received for a maximum of two annual meetings while being a student.
  • Grants are personal and cannot be given to others.
  • Recipients must register before the early bird registration deadline.
  • Recipients are expected to adhere to the SETAC Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct.
