As a global leader in advancing environmental science, SETAC has continued to champion innovation, collaboration and catalyze research excellence throughout 2024. We’ve worked tirelessly to uphold our mission of supporting a healthier and more sustainable environment. This review highlights the progress we’ve made together, celebrating the contributions of our members and the initiatives that shape our society.
SETAC merged with the Association for the Advancement of Alternatives Assessment (A4), forming the Advancement and Application of Alternatives Assessment Interest Group. Download the Technical Issue Paper (TIP) on chemical alternatives assessment for more information on the topic.
The Persistence Science Interest Group was established early last year to discuss and foster advancements in the development of understanding of chemical degradation and persistence. Read the SETAC Globe article to learn more about the purpose and scope of the interest group and how to get involved.
In 2024, we expanded access to environmental science resources by making a collection of archived SETAC books available for free. These publications, now accessible to all, continue to support learning and discovery in our field.
