Seeking Nominations for ET&C Editors

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (ET&C) is seeking nominations for editors with expertise in environmental toxicology, environmental chemistry, non-chemical ecological stressors, human health from environmental exposures, remediation and restoration, and hazard and/or risk assessment. While individuals in the above areas are encouraged to apply, there is a specific need for editors with expertise in invertebrate toxicology, terrestrial toxicology, sediment toxicology, plants, bees, nanoparticles, microplastics, PFAS and modeling.

The primary duty of an editor is to manage the peer-review process for manuscripts submitted to ET&C. During this time, editors are asked to submit to the journal, be an active voice and advocate for the journal and manage a number of articles in their area of expertise. Typically, editors manage 5-10 manuscripts per year on average. The process involves reading and evaluating papers, managing the review process for these articles, answering author questions and making decisions on submissions and revisions.

Requirements: All candidates should be experienced authors and reviewers, with previous service on the ET&C editorial board, service on a similar board, or extensive reviewing and editing experience. Excellent organizational skills, timeliness and considerable tact are required. To apply, send resumes or CVs and the completed nomination form to the ET&C editorial office at [email protected] by 15 September. For more information, contact the ET&C Editorial Office. Self-nominations are welcome.
