Seeking Nominations for IEAM Senior Editors

IEAM is seeking nominations for senior editors with expertise in ecological and environmental risk assessment; climate impact, resilience and adaptation; holistic environmental assessment and management, in terms of framings such as ecosystem services, sustainability, life cycle assessment, circularity, justice, stakeholder values and UN Sustainable Development Goals; environmental economics; and environmental management, restoration and remediation, including nature-based solutions.

The primary duty of a senior editor is to manage the peer-review process for manuscripts submitted to IEAM. During this time, senior editors are asked to submit to the journal, be an active voice and advocate for the journal, and manage a number of articles in their area of expertise. Typically, senior editors manage 5–15 manuscripts per year on average. The process involves reading and evaluating papers, managing the review process for these articles, answering author questions, and making decisions on submissions and revisions.

Requirements: All candidates should be experienced authors and reviewers, with previous service on the IEAM editorial board, service on a similar board, or extensive reviewing and editing experience. Excellent organizational skills, timeliness and considerable tact are required. To apply, send completed nomination forms and the candidate’s CV to [email protected] by 15 September. For more information, contact the IEAM Editorial Office. Self-nominations are welcome.
