SETAC Latin America Call for Volunteers
SETAC Latin America is looking for volunteers to join their education, scientific or communication committees. The application deadline has been extended to 11 April. When applying, be sure to mention which committee sparks your interest. Especially members from underrepresented countries, for example, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Uruguay, Costa Rica, among others, are encouraged to apply.
Committee Tasks and Time Commitments
Educational Committee:
- Develop and coordinate environmental education activities
- Create educational materials for members and the public
- Organize and review course proposals
- Time commitment: 2–3 hours monthly
Communication Committee:
- Manage social media and content creation
- Promote SETAC LA events, courses and publications
- Collaborate with SETAC World on news dissemination
- Time commitment: 1 hour weekly (students)
Scientific Committee:
- Provide technical advice and support
- Review workshops and technical documents
- Help organize biennial meetings
- Ensure scientific excellence in SETAC Latin America activities
- Minimum period of 3 years
Application Information
You must be a SETAC Latin America full member, ideally with expertise in ecotoxicology, risk assessment or related fields and strong communication and leadership skills.
